Global globalization is a situation in
which the world faces a more global or global change. These
changes include changes in information, lifestyle, technology and thinking. These
changes are encouraging people to keep abreast of developments because if they
miss big or small things, they will miss something valuable, namely
information. Globalization
itself can occur because of the ease in transacting and trading with other countries,
especially in international trade so that the process of globalization will
occur continuously.
With globalization, information technology is developing so rapidly that people can easily communicate with other people around the world. Information dissemination from all corners of the world can also be easily and quickly accepted by everyone. However, globalization also has a bad impact on the culture and habits of a person or a country. Communities tend to be more individual and selfish, local cultures begin to be abandoned because they are influenced by the culture of other countries that are more attractive, the emergence of social inequality between people because people want to enrich themselves so they do not care about the surrounding environment. The result of the emergence of social inequality is the occurrence of criminality from the oppressed because they feel like they are not cared for and left just as poor.
I as the young generation of the nation's successors, have observed the process of globalization that occurred from the past to the present. By observing the existing process, I can conclude that to deal with globalization, the ability to master existing information is needed, improve the ability to communicate, and have the widest possible network. By having that capability, I am sure that I can continue to follow the process of globalization. But to be able to have this ability, of course there is an effort that I have to do, because this ability does not come just like that.
The first is mastering the information. In my opinion, by mastering existing information we increasingly have a broad understanding and knowledge in specific matters as well as general matters. That information is very useful as a hold or our capital to solve a problem that will be faced in the future. Mastering information is something that must be done, especially in order to keep abreast of the development of globalization in the next 10 to 20 years. To master information, a media is needed to help us get the right and quality information. The media is mass media. Examples of mass media are newspapers, tabloids, television, radio and social media. All of that is needed to deal with globalization, especially for the next 10 to 20 years. Therefore, I will try my best to make use of everything that exists like technology and the most important thing is to be able to take advantage of the current time to prepare for globalization in the next 10 to 20 years.
The second is increasing the ability to communicate. It's useless to have intelligence but can't communicate. Many people use smart people's ideas to create something or solve a problem because if smart people do not have the ability to communicate well they will struggle to convey their ideas or what they want to create. One way to improve communication skills, especially those of me who are undergoing the educational process, is often to do public speaking. With public speaking, we will be trained to appear and express our opinions in public. In addition, public speaking can also increase our confidence. Confidence is needed especially in the face of the era of globalization in the future. With confidence, we can express what we want to express well and smoothly.
The third is having an extensive network. Having an extensive network in this case is having many friends or acquaintances. In the future, especially in the face of globalization which is increasingly global, we are required to have as many acquaintances as possible. This is because we are not possible to work alone later, but others to work as a team. A large company may not be able to stand alone without teamwork in it. Likewise we, if we cannot cooperate with other people then we will be troubled later. Therefore, as a young generation, I will try my best to be able to have acquaintances or friends so that later I can be invited to work together to form a thing, and the most important thing is to remain able to capture the globalization flow that will become increasingly global in the future.
These three things, if they can be mastered as much as possible, are most likely already ready to face the flow of globalization. Existing technological developments should also be utilized as well as possible. Because every year technology is always evolving and we must always keep abreast of existing technology to avoid being outdated. We as the young generation of Indonesia must immediately prepare themselves well, by preparing the things discussed earlier so that we will be ready to face globalization and can advance Indonesia.
