GLOBALIZATION (12A6-28)

GLOBALIZATION
Globalization is a situation when there is a lot of interaction with foreign countries. In the economic, social and cultural fields, we can see the difference between now and the past. In the past, we can not online shopping. We have to go to the shop if we want to buy something. While online, we only need to order, pay via transfer and the goods will be arrived at our house. Another simple thing about globalization can be seen from technology. In ancient times, we had to send a letter to tell people or families who were far from us. But now, we already have a handphone. We don't need to send a letter, we can send as many messages as possible via phone, even we can do a videocall.
I think there are so many differences about the environment now than before. Now, we have not used Indonesian products completely. Even the clothes we wear are mixed with outside culture. The language we use is not only Indonesian. This is the impact of globalization. If we discuss the impact of globalization, I think globalization has both positive and negative impacts. In my opinion, the positive impact of globalization is that we can move forward with an era that is far more modern and certainly makes us more developed people. And of course with globalization, we can work with other developing countries. That way, Indonesia can learn and follow the modern era. But we must remember the original culture. Don't let us forget and even leave the culture. So in my opinion, all the effects of globalization depend on ourselves in the face of globalization.
It's obvious that we can't avoid globalization, because we are at the internet era. Yes, we are now in the internet era. Almost all activities we can do by only needing the internet to access. Everything is connected, in physical form or digital form. We only need the internet to do all our daily activities. From buying food to eating, shopping to make ends meet, reading world news, meeting, even if we want a massage we can order it online. It only takes a few seconds to call family or friends who are abroad. That's all because of globalization. We have entered an era where the era is full of technology in the form of internet.
In the next 10 – 20 years , in my opinion it will be increasingly difficult to deal with globalization. Supported by the increasing population growth and of course the technology will be really advanced. As a college student, I will guard myself from the negative effects of globalization. I will try not to depend on the internet. I will also speak with my friend using Indonesian and of course the product I use is Indonesian. Maybe it will not be completely changed as it does not need globalization, because in fact we also really need globalization. Maybe I will also take advantage of the existing globalization in the form of making a food dish which is a mixture of the tastes of various countries. In this case, I use the internet to browse various cuisines in the world. So no doubt, to achieve my goal, I also need one form of globalization, namely the internet.
In the next 10 – 20 years, if as a worker, I will work in the culinary field and I will connect my world of work with advanced technology. What cooking equipment will I use the latest technology? maybe i think. Why not? I think a lot of cooking tools can be upgraded to more advanced. Maybe I can cook 100 donuts with just one squeeze in one tool.  Maybe it could. Or maybe I can preserve my food for months with good quality using only a tool. If in terms of marketing, maybe I can use the internet to sell food to foreign countries with a short time but the quality of food that is still awake.
If as a parent in 10-20 years, I will explain more about understanding and the impact of globalization on my child. My child must know about globalization. I want my child not only as a connoisseur of the impact of globalization, but also understanding about globalization. I don't want my child to be someone who is too spoiled by technology like gadgets. I also want my child to be a person who is willing to struggle to reach his life goals. I will be strict with my child when my child accesses the internet. I don't want him to fall into the wrong internet. And I will also teach my child in Indonesian to communicate. I will also invite my child to play traditional games such “petak umpet”, “grobak sodor”, ”lompat karet”,” kelereng”, and the others. I allow my child to play video games, but I don't want him to be clueless about his own culture, namely Indonesian culture.
Maybe that is some of my opinions about globalisasation and about what I will do in the face of globalization 10-20 years into the future. For the conclusion, I am very supportive of globalization. I think that with globalization, our country will become more developed and can have competitiveness with other developing countries. But what we have to remember is that we must not fall too deep in globalization. Because we don't know what kind of era we are in and what we will be if we are careless and unwary. Because basically, the impact of globalization can depend on the way we face globalization itself.
